Someone is hiding in an underground system and is frozen in for a few days.

Oopps-- forget to come back Wednesday!
I was thinking that someone was trying to bury a body, but the cold snap froze the ground again. This of course would require a few days of frozen temps,but it would delay burial. Back to the freeze with the body.
